Yifrus est célèbre pour sa mosquée. Selon la tradition, ce magnifique édifice blanc aurait été construit par le dernier chef tahiride, 'Amir bin 'Abd al-Wahab, en hommage à l'érudit Ahmad ibn Alwan. Ce dernier, qui vécut à l'époque rasulide, rédigea de nombreux ouvrages sur le soufisme et la loi sunnite.
