Khai Dinh


The mausoleum of Khai Dinh, near Huê. Khai Dinh was an emperor (1916-1925) and the adoptive father of Bao Dai. The mausoleum built between 1920 and 1931 is a mixture of Asian and European style built out of stone and reinforced cement. The monumental staircase led to the terrace of ceremony.
