Yad is a Peul village in Ferlo. In this desert belt with scattered trees and shrivelled thorn-bushes, one would expect to see only desolation. But however, Ferlo is the kingdom of the peuls and their herds of zebus and sometimes of horses which live as nomad as far as the Senegal river.
