Conímbriga


For the Romans, Coimbra was only a locality of secondary importance. The large Roman city, Conímbriga, were at 16 kilometers more in the south but it was destroyed in Vth century by Sueves, so that few things remained Roman time. Conímbriga is the greater Roman archeological site of Portugal.
