Qalhat is merely the Calatu of Marco Polo, vassal of the powerful kingdom of Ormuz that spread on the coastline of Oman in the XIVth century. From the former port, that knew of the happy days, it subsists the ruins of the mausoleum of Bibi Maryam only.
