Kathmandu - According to local chronicles, the city of Kathmandu would have been founded in Xth century by king Gunakamadeva. The current structure of the city dates from XVIth century. Kathmandu, 1,5 million inhabitants, has, neither underground network of pipes, nor sufficient water supply, it has few streets really worthy of the name.
