Dogon Country, wizard

A wizard in Sangha. A few aside from the dwellings, between the village and the bush, one finds arrangements of sand on soil. These are fox divinination tables. Every evening, the soothsayer arranges some twigs and stones to formulate a question; he places also some peanuts and a portion of tô to attract the fox. The morning, according to the prints of paws let on soil, the soothsayer reads the future.
