Thermal baths


The inhabitants of the area knew for a long time the curative properties of the sources. At the beginning of XXth century, the French colonists undertook to make a thermal spa of it. Hotels, residences, gardens, post office and station point out the pomp of the "Belle Epoque". Antsirabe is certainly the "elegant city of Madagascar" with its splendid avenue connecting the station to the famous Hotel of the Thermal baths and its monolithic monument drawn up in honour of the eighteen tribes of Madagascar.
