The temple of Castor and Pollux. These three beautiful marble fluted Corinthian columns of Paros, which stand towards the sky on a podium, are the last vestiges (6 AD) of a temple erected in 484 BC in honour of Dioscuri, Castor and Pollux, several times reconstructed. |
