Copán knew its apogee under the reigns of king "Smoke Jaguar" (628-695) and of "Eighteen Rabbit" which protected the Mayas astronomers. Every 20 years they set up a stele in Copan, which makes site a privileged place for the archaeologists of the Maya World.
