Westminster Abbey


All the British monarchs since William the Conqueror (except for Edouard V and Edouard VIII) were crowned in this abbey, and are buried much there, in company of a crowd of other notables. The towers of Westminster Abbey, built between 1722 and 1745, are the work of Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor. The nave is relatively narrow, but it is highest of England (31 m).
