Pointe du Hoc


The Pointe du Hoc is an overhang in the Channel of the coast of Normandy in the Calvados department. It overhangs a cliff from 25 to 30 metres high. It is the theater of one of the operations of the landing allied in Normandy on June 6th, 1944. Situated between the beaches of Utah Beach and Omaha Beach.
