The pont-canal (canal bridge) of Briare (length: 662,69 m), construction conceived by the engineer Léonce-Abel Mazoyer, and in whom participated the architect Gustave Eiffel for the masonry: he allows the side Canal to the Loire to cross this river. It was finished and opened on September 16th, 1896.
