Kilkenny, which owes its name of Cill Chainnigh, the church Saint Canince, is a picturesque city. During centuries, Kikenny was seat of English government, in fact is there that were voted into 1366 the Statutes of Kilkenny which prohibited to the Norman to marry Irishwomen, to wear Irish clothing and of speaking Gaelic.
