Dublin - Ireland

Kilkenny

Dublin is not the kind of city of which the visitor immediately falls in love, it neither cosmopolitan nor is refined. The heart of Dublin is in its pubs, which are the living rooms of the inhabitants of the city. The Gaelic name of the city is Baile Atha Cliath, or "City on the ford of the hedge" and the name of Dublin also comes from an Gaelic expression, Dubhlinn or "black basin".
