Philae


The island of Philae was dedicated to the worship of Isis and Osiris, her husband. The oldest building is the portico of Nectanebo I (XXXth dynasty, 378-360 before Christ). Were then built, as the centuries go by: the large temple of Isis, with its monumental pylons, the small temple of Athor and the kiosk of Trajan where the processions accosted.
