| The Salto Santa Maria falls. The Itaipu dam is at 19 km of Foz do Iguaçu and approximately 30 km of the Iguaçu falls, on the Borders of Paraguay. The dam can generate 18 million kilowatts, and does not affect the course of the Iguaçu river. |
